A town of Roman origins in the inland part of Sicily that extends till the sea-side together with Marina di Patti. It is characterized by the historical old town of narrow streets underneath the arcs grouped around the Cathedral.

Do not miss:

• The Cathedral has a beautiful fifteenth-century portal with bas-reliefs of the late-Roman style.
• S.Michele Chapel with its beautiful marble tabernacle.
• Villa Romana di Patti: a large Roman villa from the imperial age (IV century B.C) with rich mosaics and thermal baths discovered after recent excavations of the motorway.
• Marinello lakes created by the sea inside a sandy bay.
