The Elicona river and water mills
The Elicona river originates in “Agrimosco” and “Losi” and flows down to the Tirreno Sea passing between Falcone and Tindari. The water mills, used to grind wheat, have been built along the river over the centuries. Now that the mills are all ruined, the existing walls and wheels surrounded by the vegetation still evoke their suggestive presence.
